Provides short-term loan of devices. The short-term loan program is intended to assist the consumer in device selection and allow them to make an informed decision before a financial investment is made. Individuals with disabilities that reside in the state of Washington and/or their family representatives, service providers, and employers are eligible to borrow devices up to five weeks. Devices can include: pointing devices, keyboards, software, switches, typing and positioning aids.

Providing organization

Washington Assistive Technology Act Program
Provides loans of assistive technology devices as well as resources to help the consumer with equipment selection. Also provides demonstrations of the devices by appointment. Coordinates with community partners in state financing and device reuse. Offers the iCanConnect WA program for telecommunications devices for individuals with combined vision and hearing loss. Offers information and referral related to assistive technology devices and services in Washington state.
