Eligibility

Ages 18 and older who are both deaf and blind or who have a condition that will result in being both deaf and blind.

M-F, 8:30am-4:30pm. Service hours vary.

Deafness/Hard of Hearing
Blindness/Low Vision

Provides sighted guides to give visual information as needed to assist people who are Deaf-Blind with everyday activities such errands and recreational activities.   This service also has a professional side (PSSP) related to more formal situations, such as going to the court house, conferences, etc.   Sighted guides do not interpret. The emphasis of SSP work is on visual and environmental (not verbal) information.

Provides information, advocacy, case management and other services for individuals who are both deaf and blind. Works to connect them to current communication technology like email, text and telephone. All services are provided in sign language or the form of communication that is most accessible to the deaf-blind individual. The emphasis is on providing in-person, one-on-one services.
