Provides financial assistance for heating bills, including natural gas, electricity, wood, propane, and oil costs. Benefit amounts are determined by total household income, size and historical energy usage and do not require a disconnection or situation where heating fuel is nearly exhausted in order to be received. Weatherization Assists with installation of energy efficiency measures including things like insulation and venting, air filtration, and heating system repair or replacement for people who have applied for energy assistance or those that are income-qualified in order to make home energy costs more affordable and housing safer. Works to make homes more energy efficient and safer is professionally done by crews or contractors.
