Individuals 18 and older, with a BMI greater than 25 (BMI greater than 23 for Asian individuals), or individuals who are at high risk for developing Type 2 Diabetes as determined by a confirmatory blood value, diagnosis of Gestational Diabetes during a previous pregnancy, or a qualifying risk score. Y membership is not required for participation.
M-Th, 6am-9pm F 6am - 8pm Sa, 7am-5pm Su, 8am-5pm. Program hours vary.

Traditional Medicare and some Medicare Advantage plans typically cover the full cost of the program. For those not covered by Medicare, a sliding fee scale is offered.

12-month class series helps participants adopt the healthy habits needed to prevent type 2 diabetes. Trained lifestyle coaches lead classes to help participants make better food choices, increase physical activity and learn coping skills to maintain weight loss and healthy lifestyle changes.
YMCA of Greater Seattle's Regional Branches
Eleven regional YMCA branches provide after-school programming for youth, child care programs, older adult programs, and programs for families and youth. Two branches serve a community supper once a week. University Family YMCA operates a street youth drop-in center which also offers hygiene items and services. Auburn location offers smoking cessation workshops.
