Provides outage‑report phone lines for customers. Note that lines may be busy; if a busy signal occurs, wait several minutes and try again. Use customer‑reported information to support timely identification and correction of outage causes. If the lights go out:
  • Check the neighboring service to determine whether nearby residences have electricity.
  • Check the service panel for tripped breakers.
  • Report the outage by calling with the time and location.
  • Turn on a porch light so crews can identify when power is restored.
  • Turn off and unplug sensitive equipment such as computers, televisions, and motor‑driven devices.
  • Wait 20 minutes before restoring equipment after power returns.
Downed power lines: Report fallen power lines by calling the PUD. Do not touch downed lines or any objects in contact with them. Treat all power lines as energized and exercise extreme caution. Keep others clear of the area until PUD crews arrive.
