Transportation is provided for clients.
Children, ages birth through 18, with a high level of nursing needs, pulmonary impairment, or similar disability who require palliative care. Most children admitted to Ashley House will meet one or more of the following criteria: - Need at least six hours of nursing care in a 24 hour day - Need TPN or intravenous medication administration - Need mechanical ventilation or specialized respiratory equipment - Need frequent therapy for respiratory problems and infection - Need peritoneal dialysis - Need pre- or postoperative care for an organ transplant - Need care for terminal illness Those ages 18-20 may be served if in extended foster care.
M-F, 9am-5pm.

Ashley House provides compassionate care for medically fragile and technology-dependent children. Nursing, personal care and social services are provided in small group home settings. Ashley House provides a "home away from home" environment for the children and their families while delivering complex medical care and family support. Children and families receive services individualized to meet their needs. Ashley House provides or arranges for: - Twenty-four hour nursing care in a home-like setting. All care and treatment is under a doctor’s orders. - Social work services and family support. - Transportation to and from Doctor’s appointments. - Training for the family so the family will be able to provide medical care for their child at home. - Discharge planning to continue progressive recovery and transition to home. - Physical, occupational and speech therapy to fit the unique needs of the child. - Counseling for the child and family as needed. - Education services through the school districts. Also provides this service in Tacoma, Kent, Auburn, Woodinville, Spokane and Olympia.
Ashley House
Offers care at a state-licensed facility for respite, transition, end-of-life and interim stays as well as long-term care for medically fragile children. Palliative care is provided. Social work services are available. Transition from hospital to home is a primary goal.
