Eligibility

Marriage applications must be completed online. Applicants without internet access may contact the office to use the marriage kiosk. After submitting the online form, applicants will receive an application request number and should keep it for reference. Licenses may be purchased by mail or by scheduling an in‑person appointment. Both applicants must be 18 or older. Applicants who are 17 need consent from a parent or legal guardian. Applicants under 17 must contact the Benton‑Franklin Counties Juvenile Justice Center for a waiver.

Marriage licenses cost $159 when paid by cash or money order/cashier’s check. Credit and debit cards are also accepted, with a 2.7% convenience fee applied to card transactions.
