Low- and very low-income tenants or home buyers in rural areas (population of 35,000 or less).
Some grants are available for people ages 62 and older who cannot afford to repay a loan.

Rural Home Loans
Provides loans to help low-income individuals purchase homes in rural areas. Funds can be used to build, repair, renovate, or relocate a home, or to purchase and prepare sites, including providing water and sewage facilities.
Housing Repair Loans & Grants
Provides loans to rural residents to repair, improve, or modernize homes or to remove health and safety hazards.
Provides grants to remove health and safety hazards. Maximum loan is $20,000. Maximum grant is $7,500.
