Operates a Level V emergency room.   Treats minor injuries and infections as well as major health problems such as heart attacks, strokes and traumatic injuries.   For major trauma or complex cases, arranges transportation by ambulance or helicopter to a larger or specialized facility.   Accepts newborn babies dropped off by the parent within 72 hours of birth.   The parent shall not be prosecuted, remains anonymous, and will be asked for medical history.
