Provides college preparation programs for low-income, first-generation students in grades 6-12 in the Tacoma, Franklin-Pierce, and Bethel School Districts. Services include study skills development, tutoring, mentoring, college visits, assistance with college admission and financial aid, career development, cultural enrichment and SAT/ACT preparation.
Metropolitan Development Council's Asset Building Division
Provides educational opportunities for low-income first generation students wanting to pursue a college degree. Also provides adult education for employment to help low-income households move to self-sufficiency through multiple programs. Services include Child Care Food Program, Educational Opportunity Center (EOC), and Upward Bound programs.
