Arranges transportation to and from eligible Medicaid covered medical services to anyone with a valid DSHS ProviderOne ID card, who has no other form of transportation.  The Medicaid Broker will arrange for the lowest cost, most suitable option for the client's needs.  This may include bus passes or tickets, gas vouchers, mileage reimbursement, volunteer drivers, shared rides, or a wheelchair lift-equipped vehicle.  Transportation will be arranged for trips within the local community.  Transportation outside of the local community may be available if certain criteria are met.

Counties served are: Benton, Chelan, Columbia, Douglas, Franklin, Kittitas, Okanogan, Walla Walla, and Yakima. For gas vouchers or reimbursement of fuel, drivers must provide copies of a valid license, signed vehicle registration, and valid vehicle insurance. These must be valid for date of Medicaid covered doctor appointment.

No ambulance service is provided. Does not cover prescription pick-up.

Public transportation, such as the bus, must be used before other forms of transportation. If the bus cannot be taken for mobility reasons, or if bus service is not available in a client's area, helps with other transportation such as: Gas vouchers; van/taxi (may be grouped with others); group shuttle; ferry fares; intercity bus; wheelchair accessible vehicles; and air fare/water taxi (San Juan County). Provides specialized transportation resource assistance, coordination, and advocacy for residents who need transportation services beyond those listed in the 2-1-1 database. Calls are generally returned within 1 business day.

Provides on call, in person and over the phone support to vulnerable youth. Works closely with existing emergency youth shelter providers including Friends of Youth, YouthCare and Cocoon House.   Current Safe Place sites include: Metro Transit buses, YMCAs of Greater Seattle and the King County Library System. Offers trained navigators who work one-on-one with Pierce County residents who are unable to access transportation. Finds transportation options such as local shuttles, volunteer driver programs, medical transportation services, transit, and more. Also helps clients navigate public transportation routes and provide suggested trip plans. Works with clients to meet a more immediate transportation need and to establish reliable, long-term transportation. Services may include - Filling out applications, - Education about available options and how they can be blended together - Access to short-term transportation Examples of transportation include medical, employment, education, food, benefits application, and errands.

Offers free rides for veterans for medical appointments at VA medical facilities in Seattle. Scheduled through VA at least 7 days in advance.

Offers rides to medical appointments and essential errands to seniors aged 60 and older. Essential errands include grocery shopping, visits to the pharmacy or other professional appointments. Rides are available Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, excluding holidays.

Skagit Transit's Paratransit service provides specialized transportation comparable with Skagit Transit's fixed-route bus service. It is a pre-scheduled service designed for people who are unable to get to the nearest bus stop or use a fixed-route bus.  Paratransit is for individuals whose conditions and/or disabilities prevent them from using Skagit Transit's regular fixed-route buses. Based on the review of an application for Paratransit service, you may receive curb to curb service, curb to fixed-route service or fixed route service only (with training).

Provides curb -to-curb transportation service for people with qualifying disabilities. Vehicles are lift equipped to accommodate individuals using wheelchairs or other mobility devices. Certain weight and size limitations exist and an individual applying for service should call the Ben Franklin Transit office (509-735-0160, then press 3) to discuss the specific type of mobility devices they would like to use while traveling. Drivers may provide door-to-door service for those individuals who require assistance to/from the vehicle. An individual designated as a Personal Care Attendant may accompany the customer at no cost.

Provides local and long-distance non-emergency transportation for Medicaid clients who have been referred or those who are willing to pay out of pocket.

Provides curb-to-curb (door-to-door upon request) transportation for disabled individuals who are eligible under the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). No restriction on what transportation is being requested for, as long as it is within the service area. EMERGENCIES SHOULD CONTACT 911. Provides basic and advanced non-emergent ambulance transportation.   Transportation can be scheduled in advance or called without notice.   Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) drive ambulances equipped with basic life support. Critical Care Transport (CCT), ambulances staffed by nurses, are available for patients who need monitoring and medicated IVs.   Bariatric ambulance is available for patients over 300 pounds. Only provides post-surgery transportation with contracted hospitals (Swedish, Harborview, UW).

Para-Transit is a wheelchair-accessable transportation service for individuals whose disability prevents them frim using the regular fixed route buses. This means that a person must be unable, because of disability, to get to or from the bus stop, get on or off a lift or ramp equipped bus, or successfully travel by bus or form the destination. Para-Transit is available to anyone in our community that is elderly or low income that can't afford transportation to medical, dental, or social service appointments.

General Public Transportation Services with Regional Connections to Jefferson Transit, Kitsap Transit, Washington State Ferry Terminal in Bremerton, Squaxin Island Transit, Grays Harbor Transit, Intercity Transit and Twin Transit.  All Mason Transit buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts and bike racks.
