Operates several advice clinics at a variety of locations and times (including evenings), makes referrals to volunteer attorneys and provides public information for low-income clients. Attorneys on staff can provide limited emergency services depending on the client's legal issue. Areas of assistance can include: - Family Law & Domestic Violence - Landlord/Tenant - Foreclosure - Consumer and Business - Bankruptcy - Vacation of Criminal Records - Reinstatement of Driver License - Veteran Assistance - Wills, Probate, Guardianship, and Power of Attorney. Also serves as a referral partner with the Federal Civil Rights Clinic. Will direct clients to the clinic for intake, appointments, and follow up.

Provides a wide range of services for youth 12-24 years of age. Services focus on housing support, mental health, education, parent support, healthcare, criminal/legal support, and advocacy services. - Advocates can help access services based on unique situation & need, such as transportation, phone cards, obtaining a State ID, food banks, DSHS benefit applications, and job search. - Housing support may include housing search, referral to a shelter, temporary housing, or rapid/immediate housing, depending on the client's circumstances. - Refers to Okanogan Behavioral Healthcare or online counseling for mental health support. - Connects clients to criminal/legal support and services, such as defense attorneys, Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, or Northwest Justice Project. - Parenting support includes baby items, free books, referrals to child services, and more. - Bilingual tutoring is available on site.

Has free legal advice clinics in Olympia, Aberdeen and Shelton for those with income below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. Also assist residents of Lewis County in Olympia until a clinic can get set up in Lewis County. Uses volunteer attorneys to assist income-eligible individuals with advice in the areas of family law, landlord tenant law, consumer law, will and estate and employment law. Operates a toll-free centralized intake, advice and referral service for seniors (age 60+) seeking legal assistance with civil legal problems (statewide) Screens callers for income eligibility and type of legal problem. If it's not a problem CLEAR Sr can help with, they will try to refer the caller to somewhere that can help. Callers should be encouraged to gather documents and paperwork before calling the CLEAR Sr line.

Clinic staff offers advice-only services with respect to document review, criminal and civil litigation advice, probate matters, family law matters, explanation of the scope of Tribal Court jurisdiction, assistance with access to Tribal Court, and other routine matters.   Appointments usually last one hour.

LAW Advocates provides legal assistance on a wide-range of topics to low-income people in Whatcom County.  Services are provided through a variety of legal clinics and programs, as well as by placing cases with volunteer attorneys.  We do not provide assistance with criminal law matters.

Hosts a legal clinic specifically designed to address the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals and couples. This clinic is run by QLaw Foundation in partnership with the King County Bar Association. The clinic is open to everyone regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. At the clinic, an attorney will meet with clients for 30 minutes and provide individualized legal advice and information. Clinic attorneys will answer questions and provide information in a variety of areas including family law, immigration, debt and bankruptcy, divorce/dissolution, employment discrimination, and transgender legal issues.

Provides a free 30 minute consultation with an attorney on federal civil rights legal issues. *Most appointments via telephone with limited in-person availability in Seattle. Operates a toll-free, centralized intake, advice and referral service for low-income people seeking free legal assistance with civil legal problems.  Lawyers must avoid conflicts of interest that arise from talking with both parties to a dispute. We will ask you for information about the person, business or agency with whom you are having a problem to identify any conflicts of interest. If you are calling on behalf of another person, we will determine whether we can speak with you or whether we need to speak directly with the person on whose behalf you are calling both to avoid conflicts and to assure that we can obtain adequate information about the client and case from you.  If you are eligible to speak with a lawyer or paralegal, he or she will ask you about your problem. Please have papers or documents concerning your problem with you when you call. It will also help if you have important information such as the names of people involved with the problem, and their addresses and telephone numbers. Based on the information you give us, we may do one or more of the following:    * Give you verbal or written advice that may help you to solve your problem on your own * Send you written legal information and/or forms to help you solve the problem on your own * Try to resolve your problem through negotiation * Refer you to another provider of legal aid We try to make the best referral possible, however, we cannot guarantee that a referral will be available or that an agency or program you are referred to will be able to help you.

Kitsap Legal Services works with volunteer attorneys who will give legal advice and limited assistance to low-income Kitsap County residents.. All legal consultations are by appointment only and potential clients must go through the eligibility process. Currently, most legal appointments are occurring by phone or Zoom. There is often a waiting period of several weeks for an appointment and we typically CANNOT provide an attorney to go with you to court. If you are facing eviction, and you meet eligibility requirements, we may be able to provide an attorney to immediately represent you.
