Provides a residential recovery program for up to 15 homeless men in recovery from drug and/or alcohol abuse. Shelter residents must actively participate in intensive outpatient treatment with the Matt Talbot Treatment Center during the week. Clients sleep in a gymnasium at night and are provided a mat, linens, towel and basic toiletries.  Clients share responsibility for cooking, cleaning and security, and participate in meetings on topics such as anger management, conflict resolution, hygiene and effective communication.

Provides transitional housing, biblically based recovery services, emotional support, spiritual support, Bible studies, life skills classes, support for social service needs (such as court appearances and court mandated trainings), clothing, GED and computer training.   Volunteering in the Olympia Union Gospel Mission is required as part of your program fee. Acres is a safe and zero tolerance program with random drug testing. The program is designed to help women get back on their feet. Also employs a team of employment specialists who help program participants prepare to re-enter the workforce, apply for jobs, build a resume, practice interview skills, and more.
