Provides public education regarding the understanding of mental illness. Seeks out information about the latest in mental health research and works to overcome the present stigmatizing of mental health consumers.
Eight session course is taught by trained family members. All course materials are furnished without charge. The class is for caretakers of persons with mental illnesses: this could be parents, siblings, spouses and adult children of persons with mental illnesses, and recovering individuals who are themselves also caretakers of a persons(s) with mental health conditions.
